so ive decided i want to play some slam metal. anyone want to tell me what ill need? amps, guitars, pickups, effects, strings, tunings, etc? also, any good riff ideas or theories?


right now my setup is an esp ltd ex-50 with stock pickups, 48 guage strings (i know, ill need to upgrade those) running through a crate G200C XL 100 watt full stack. my effects pedals are a FAB metal pedal by danelectro, and a marshall JH-1 jackhammer.

oh and i mean slam metal as in abominable putridity, dormant carnivore, waking the cadaver, and disfiguring the goddess
